3 posts · Joined 2020. #1 · Oct 15, 2020. I have an old plow truck that I am upragrading and going bigger. A friend of mine has offered to sell me an old plow on the cheap. It's 1988 conventional v boss plow. I also have a 1999 Ford F350 PSD w/ dual wheels and run a Boss 9.2 V plow with the smartloc cylinders. This also works fine. Boss cylces quicker than Fisher. Boss easier to put on than Fisher. We can here the pump pushing but wing won't move. when we push both out buttons at the same time it will work. And sometimes it just works in its own. Is this a ground issue or is the valve going bad. With Bilstein 5100's and Timbrens I don't see why I couldn't run an 8'2" Boss V or VXT on a Tundra. But, maybe I'm asking to much out of a 1/2 ton truck.If the plow lifts and drops without resistance then you need to look for problems with the S1 valve. This is the only valve involved in dropping the blade. The S1 is the closest valve cartraige to the front of the plow. It had a Smart hitch on it and some broken pins on it's 11pin connector so I swapped out the harness on the plow side for a Smart hitch 2, 13 pin connector, and grounded all the solenoids to the power on the pump and frame.14 posts · Joined 2006. #1 · Dec 25, 2006. My problem started as an electrical problem, and, after getting that fixed, I thought, now the plow won't raise, or wings swing.
We use a different fuse tap in our shop. 2)If there is Power there check at the red wire going into the plug on the controller and make sure you have it there.
