Q70 bus
This past week, New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced a temporary solution of sorts while the city and state work on "longer-term solutions." Starting today, the Q70 LaGuardia Link bus became free to all riders. The bus service connects LaGuardia's terminals to the subway and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).It however will not say “Transfer OK” like Metrocards because the calculation has to be done server-side. I've done this with my Apple Watch (scan into subway, then again. onto the Q70) and it worked correctly. I'm pretty sure you have to use the same device so they can make the link and not double charge you. It works.
