Nissan xterra vdc off slip reset
This cleared the VDC and Slip problem, but there must be a more direct way. Any help would be appreciated. Hi! What I have seen on the xterra is the steering angle sensors out of adjust, this will turn on the lights. You will have to reset with the nissan scan tool, for center wheel adjustment setting. Feb 4, 2021 · Pulled out from a red light, the battery indicator came on and my Xterra died. After a few minutes I got it going and drove it home. The SES, VDC OFF and SLIP indicators are on. The battery is old so I had it tested (very weak) and replaced it. Started back up, ran a few seconds then died. Dash indicators are still on. Any thoughts on what this ... Just take it to the local nissan dealer. I told them I changed the battery and the slip and VDC off light were on. They turned them off in under 5 minutes, it was free and i didn't have to wait. they did it right away. San Diego California, Deadhorse Alaska, Miami Florida, and New York.Here is what worked on mine: 1. turned off the car. 2. disconnected "-" battery terminal. 3. connected the terminal back on. 4. started the ignition. 5. drove in the straight line for about 100 m. 6. remember no reverse just "d" and drive in a straight line.But from what I've read the VDC/Slip light can illuminate and mine did. I'd check all the connectors from the FR (front right) wheel speed sensor back to where they end.

My old battery died in my '08 Xterra and I installed a new one, after which the VDC Off dash light was now illuminated. After first sharp right turn, Slip dash light came on. Self-resetting did not occur while driving in straight line. Local Nissan dealer offered to "reload lost data" for $120. When engine speed signal isn’t sent over CAN, the ABS control module will set a DTC and the VDC light will illuminate. I don’t believe the ABS light will. The most common (by far) cause of a missing engine speed signal is a failed camshaft position sensor. You can get odd combinations of warning lights with this failure.
