Hold the plug with a pair of pliers with rubber grips and crank the engine. If you get shocked it won't be bad for you but it will smart.....2007 Recon 250 will not idle. ... You need to rejet it. A quick way to tell is to tape off a portion of the snorkel and see if it runs better. You may have to restrict more air to make it run better. Feb 23, 2023 · Unlike the choke your carb is equipped with, the bypass starter is ineffective above 1/4 throttle opening, so unless I let the throttle close to less than 1/4, the by pass starter does not effect the operation. BUT the screw might feed fuel OR air into the circuit so, depending on that, you may turn the screw opposite what you may think.
