As for being easier to carry than a 30, the difference in my opinion, is marginal. The 30S is just a 30SF with a 36 slide. The 36 slide isn't that much thinner than the 30 slide. The 10 round magazine for the 30S has a pinky extension that really makes the magwell length difference between the 2 pistols nonexistent.Apr 12, 2019 · The 30S has an SF frame. Nov 23, 2014 · I've had both the 21 and the SF, as well as the 30 and SF. Aside from the way they fit my hand, I could find no difference. Accuracy and reliability are on par throughout the four. It is my understanding that the Gen 4 models without any backstrap installed has the same reach as the SF frames. I like the 30s and find it to be a great carry gun.
