4020 injector pump
Hey guys, need some advice. I have a 1969 4020 and my CB injection pump is leaking from the top center seal. Is it worth getting it rebuilt? Its about 20 years since the last time so Id say its ready. I can get a conversion for a DB pump for $2,500. Rebuild is about $600.This pump, motor for that fact, valves, injectors,etc have never been touched in 3,200 hrs. I change the oil every 100 hrs , and it's got near 3,300 or a bit more after running the auger this fall. Slow cranking and short solenoid life is a symptom of a 4020 that needs an auxiliary cranking relay installed.
