However, when I check the Taurus website they show the model 85 as being 38+p. So, I assume I can shoot +p in the gun.It goes like this: if I cannot find mags for it that are from other manufactures other than Taurus, I DO NOT BUY IT! The 92/99 can use Beretta mags. The 1911's - other 1911 mags by various manufactures. The PT-111G2's can use SIG P226 mags etc... When the PT845's were still in production it took Taurus over a year to ship me a mag!djw479. I don't believe Taurus ever officially stated why they were pulled, but the internet rumor-mill was Titanium became too expensive to manufacture entire revolvers out of this alloy. I've had my 85UL for almost 2 years without a hiccup. I've probably put 200 rounds through it and I've been carrying it off and on in my rotation. Today at the range was disappointing.
