On a Mec progressive, there is an index ball that detents into index marks on the shell carrier that always makes it feel lumpy when turning the shell carrier with the index ball downforce set properly. You can rotate the column spring to alter the index ball downforce from nothing to strong.

The precrimp needs to be a little tighter than the diameter of a 209 primer, if anything because the shell has a small diameter. Its is about the easiest adjustment on a Grabber, so go easy and you'll find the sweet spot.The Grabber is a manual indexing model, and it does have the collet resizer. Neither the Grabber nor the 650 auto-ejects the finished round, and that's not all bad. I thought MEC had done away with the resizing capability of the 650.
