He knocked out the melee stats early (his plan was to use the Silverblack Spear and Sickle), built out the Sorcerer side and last of all bolted on the faith. The key insight is that there's no hurry to get Dark Orb into play.Start as Sorcerer and buy the Rapier from Lenigrast, then farm the Old Knight Hammer from Heide’s Tower.
